Introduction:
Many of us crave for icecreams during summer season. But our mom's main concern is our health and if we eat icecreams it might cause cold and fever. Also it contains many vegetable oil and sugars and preservatives which makes our mom's approval a question mark. As I too have experienced it, I made my own icecream without stove and it only a ten minute recipe. Come on chefs, put on you aprons, hats and get into the kitchen.
Ingredients:
To prepare this we need,
- A mango - fully ripen
- Milk Solids (unsweetened milk kova) - 2 teaspoons (optional if mango is too juicy)
- Roasted nuts - to garnish
To start peel a mango and separate the flesh from the seed. Now put the mango inside a blender. Now blend it until it turns into fine thick creamy paste. For this the mango should be ripen as well as hard. No soft mangoes can do this. If your mango is too soft just add 2 teaspoons of milk solids. Now transfer the contents into a icecream mould or kulfi pot and refrigerate it for atleast 7- 10 hours. Tadaanhhhh.....Your tasty as well as healthy mango icecream is ready.
Health benefits:
Mango is a fruit that has natural sweet as well as colour. Other than that it is rich in Vitamin A which supports Vision. It is packed with antioxidants which helps fighting infections and inflammations. It is also a good source of fibre. If you add unsweetened milk kova (milk solids), then it will have calcium which is needed for the bones and teeth.
Health Advisory:
Kids eat it on the day of preparation or before 48 hours of refrigeration. If you see a white layer or black layer just discard it without taking chance. if you're allergic to mangoes don't try this recipe. Lets wait and try another recipe. And mom's if you're feeding toddler's I don't know about it. Just ask the elders before feeding them. **This post is for informational purposes only. Please consult your pediatrician before introducing new foods to your child**
Kids Advisory:
Hey little chefs! Cooking is so much fun, but it's also important to stay safe while you're having a good time in the kitchen. Always make sure to have your mama, dada, or a grown-up helper with you, especially when using sharp knives, hot stoves, or big pots. Before you start, remember to wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water. Enjoy kids by preparing, serving and tasting...
Serving suggestions: Roast some nuts and sprinkle on the top of the icecream before tasting
