Introduction:
The dish I came up with today is a sauce which is going to pair up with chappathi, samosas, pakodas, fries, or dips with your drumsticks or base for a pizza or sandwich or burger or spread with breads etc. So this is super exciting swwet, spicy and tangy recipe. Without experimenting your patience let me dive straightly into the recipe....
Ingredients:
To start with this we need,
- 4 to 5 ripe tomatoes
- ¼ piece of a raw mango (peeled)
- 2 to 5 cloves of garlic
- 3- 5 teaspoons of Country cane sugar
- Salt
- 1 teaspoon of Pepper powder or chilli flakes
- A little bit of butter
How to Prepare?:
Lets start this with a 500 ml of water in a pot or a deep pan to boil. When you see bubbles rising from the water add the tomatoes and mango into it and wait for the tomatoes to get a consistency that peeling it is easy. If you find mango is getting so soft use a pair of tongs to get it out and keep it in a plate. Now when the tomato is also cooked in a above said consistency remove t out of the pot and peel it. Keep it with the cooked mango. Now peel the garlic cloves and roast it in the butter until it also gets mashing consistency. Now remove the garlic alone and place it with the other two ingredients. You can use the butter for garnishing or while preparing garlic bread sticks. Now put all these in the blender and blend it until it reaches a creamy consistency. Now heat a pan and add this blended cream and keep stirring. Now add the country cane sugar, salt and chilli flakes or pepper powder. You can even adjust this quantities as per your taste. Now while stirring if you notice a saucy consistency, turn off the stove and let it cool. After cooling you can transfer it into a glass container and refridgerate it.
Thus multi-role tangy, sweet n spicy sauce is ready.
Health benefits:
The ingredients used in this sauce are not only tasty but also come packed with wonderful health benefits. Tomatoes are rich in antioxidants like lycopene, which are great for heart health, skin, and digestion, and they even help support good eyesight. Raw mangoes bring in a sharp, tangy flavor while being loaded with Vitamin C, which boosts immunity and aids digestion, especially helpful during summer. Garlic is a tiny powerhouse on its own — it strengthens the immune system, helps reduce inflammation, and is known for keeping the heart healthy. Instead of using refined sugar, we go for country cane sugar, which is a more natural and wholesome sweetener, giving you an energy boost without the harmful effects of chemicals. To balance the flavors and add a little kick, you can use pepper powder — not only do they spice things up, but they also boost your metabolism and can help relieve common colds. And let’s not forget that little cube of butter — it adds smoothness, depth, and a gentle richness to the sauce while perfectly roasting the garlic for that irresistible aroma and taste.
Preparation time: 30 minutes if all the ingredients are ready
Shelf life: Consume it within a week if refrigerated. As it has no preservatives nobody can save it outside the fridge.
Health Advisory: ⚠️ If you notice any bubbles, off-smells, or fermented tang, please don’t consume it — discard immediately. It means the sauce has gone through microbial changes and isn't safe anymore.I’m not sure how this will suit toddlers or little babies, so please check with elders at home before serving it to them.
Kids Advisory
A small but important note to my lovely kiddo viewers. if you’re trying this recipe, please don’t go solo in the kitchen. Cutting, boiling, and roasting should be done only under adult supervision. Ask your mama, dada, or elder siblings to guide you. Your safety is more important than anything, okay?
Cooking is fun, but only when it’s safe and supervised!
