Introduction:

Today I came up with a new recipe. It is also mom's approval recipe but it is a on-the-go drink which you can take while you travel a very long distance or if you're practicing in hot summer and you need hydration or you're feeling super dry after eating some foods. This can help you if you make it in the right proportion. The very first time I made it in my home for a replacement of carbonated drinks as I personally don't like them for after biriyani drink. Now We'll jump into the recipe.

Ingredients :

you all need

  • a  1/2 teaspoon of fennel seeds
  • a  slice of lemon
  • a very small dice of ginger
  • a half lemon's juice
  • 2 teaspoons of sugar (heaped)
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 5- 10 mint leaves
How to prepare?:

Now take a clean mortar and pestle  and grind the fennel seeds and add it to a bottle. Add a 1/2 teaspoon of salt and 2 teaspoons of sugar. If you are not ok with sugar then you may go with Honey or country cane sugar which makes it perfectly healthy one. Now add the juice of half a lemon.Pour a half glass of water and shake it until sugar and Salt dissolves in water. Add the lemon slice and  Add a very small dice of ginger (1mm cube). Now take five to ten mint leaves and slightly crush them in a mortar and pestle and add it into the container. Add 2 glasses of water,(only when you're using it for antidote for summer or hydration purpose add chill water as chill water might slow down the digestion process).

Yup now shake and have a drink to refresh your body as well as taste buds.

Health Benefits:

This refreshing herbal drink offers a range of health benefits, especially after a rich and heavy meal like biryani. The combination of fennel seed powder, mint, lemon, ginger, and a touch of salt and sugar works together to soothe the digestive system and reduce post-meal bloating or discomfort. It helps prevent acidity and heartburn, thanks to the calming and cooling effects of its natural ingredients.

Each ingredient plays a vital role in aiding digestion and restoring balance. fennel seed powder is the star, known for its ability to reduce gas, bloating, and acidity. Mint leaves provide a cooling effect and soothe the stomach lining, while lemon juice boosts liver function, supports detoxification, and enhances digestion with its vitamin C and natural acidity.

The small piece of ginger offers powerful anti-inflammatory and digestive properties, helping to ease cramps and stimulate metabolism. The addition of a sugar gives a quick energy lift and balances the tangy and herbal flavors.

The salt plays a key role by helping to balance electrolytes, especially after consuming spicy or heavy foods. It can also stimulate digestion by encouraging the production of digestive enzymes, while enhancing the absorption of nutrients. Together with the sugar and lemon, salt supports hydration more effectively than water alone.

Overall, this drink hydrates the body, gently flushes out toxins, aids digestion, and restores the body's internal balance. It also provides a mild energy boost and refreshes the mind and body, making it an ideal homemade remedy after indulgent meals.
