I want you all to comment your experiences of these recipes while preparing and your valuable suggestions and feedback. And one more thing share with your friends and help grow our blog community๐. Do follow our blog and its social media pages. Please somebody DM me or comment my recipes here or there many days I have been writing and you're just reading. I want you to write and me to read. ๐
Introduction:
During Deepavali days my mama prepares this crunchy vadas made of urid dhal batter mixed with onions, chillies and curry leaves and then deep fry it. If anyone want it's detailed recipe just DM me. Also with this there will be many savouries that will feel too oily that day. On that day alone I'll be a curd lover. Because I hate buttermilk, curd and raw milk. Come on chefs, put your aprons and chef hat and get into the kitchen๐จ๐ณ๐ฉ๐ณ.Let's do this together ๐ฝ
Ingredients:
- A bowl of curd
- 3-4 medu vada
- tamarind chutney- 1 table spoon.
- onion- 1 chopped finely
- coriander leaves - some
- grated carrot - 1 small
- kara boondhi or sev ( optional)
Take a bowl full of curd and whisk it with spoon or a fork to make it even liquid. Now put 3 or 4 medhu vadas in it. Now decorate it with some onions, carrot, coriander leaves and tamarind chutney to make it look like a restaurent style dahi vada. Now you piece it and have a bite with the help of a fork and a spoon.
Enjoy kids by preparing serving and tasting๐๐ฝ๐
๐ Health Benefits:
This dahi vada is not just yummy, it’s full of goodness too! ๐ฅ Curd is rich in probiotics that keep your tummy happy and digestion smooth ๐. It is a great source of calcium and protein, which makes your bones and teeth strong ๐ช. Carrots and onions add fiber and vitamins for eye health and immunity ๐ฅ๐ง . Tamarind chutney adds a tangy twist while giving natural antioxidants ๐ฟ. And let’s not forget our crispy medhu vadas! ๐ They are made from urad dal, which is packed with plant-based protein, iron, and essential nutrients for strong muscles and energy ๐ฅ. When soaked in curd, they become soft and easier to digest too. So, every bite is tasty and healthy at the same time!
๐ฉบ Health Advisory:
Dear parents, always ensure curd is fresh and made from pasteurized milk ๐ฅ. Avoid giving this snack to toddlers under 2 years without elder consultation. Reduce chutney or boondhi if your kiddo needs a low-sugar or low-fat option. Serve immediately after preparing—don’t store for long! ❌ For kids with a cold, sore throat, or lactose intolerance, skip or give in small portions. And remember, this is a festive treat—enjoy occasionally, not every day.
๐ถ Kids Advisory:
My little chefs, this is a no-fire recipe ๐ฅ❌ so you can do most of the fun part yourself! You can whisk curd, decorate with carrots, onions, and boondhi like a food artist ๐จ. But always handle the bowl carefully and ask mama or dada if the vadas need to be soaked first. Wash your hands well before you start ๐, and don’t forget to clean up after your cooking fun. Eat slowly and enjoy every bite like a little master chef ๐!
Servings: 2–3 persons
Preparation Time: 10 minutes
Ok kiddos let's meet in some other recipe until then stay hydrated, happy and healthy๐
